Very simple for small claim expert … help!!!?

Postby jasper » Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:24 pm

hello

thank you for entering in my post

I'm a claimant of a small claim against a Carphonewarehouse store regarding a mobile-phone contract.
The defendant in its defence has written a lot of lies, I've written exactly what happened

Today I got the letter from the court saying that my claim has been considered suitable for mediation so I should contact the Court Mediator or by phone call or by e-mail

And obviously if any party does not wish to engage in mediation, or we are not able to reach an agreement by 28 days, we'll have a hearing in a few months

What do you suggest to me? Do I need to contract straight-way by email or by phone call the Court Mediator? Or should I wait to receive their phone call?

I'm thinking of sending an e-mail to confirm receipt of their letter and I'm going to leave all my details and time to be contacted

Any suggestion according it will be very appreciated

thank you in advance for your help

I would contact by phone and make sure you get the persons FULL name that you talked to. Then you also should send a backup email and mention who you talked to but want a written confirmation.
That way you cover yourself 2 ways in case the email gets lost or they claim the employee you talked to no longer works there.

You should call the Court and arrange an appointment with them.
