Hi Andy,

I am trying to determine if the subject safe would be a good value and secure compared to a new gun safe of comparable cost.  I will store guns and other valuables in the safe.  Safe Info: I have submitted an inquiry to Sentry with the description, s/n and  other identifying marks provided by the seller to try and determine year of manuf. band model.  I have not seen the safe but have some lo-res pics.  Once I determine your pic requirements I will go see the safe and gather all photos and other info. required.  The approx. dimensions are outside: 63x37x28 and inside: 50x28x18.

It appears that there may be some con's to an older safe such as:

•   MECHANISM-likely possibility of worn or soon to have problems  due to age

•   Lacks modern innovations- like self locking if impacted. •   Not guarantee if damaged by burglary which it appears many new safes are by the Manuf.

•   Burglars may have had experience because of time locking mechanism has been around.

•   Possibly not as secure from burglary or fire as a new safe.

Some of the pro's may be weight, better quality, asthetics(minor importance to me)

Any further information you would need please let me know. I plan on going to see the safe tomorrw.
