What are the best Courtroom based movies?

Postby sylvester37 » Fri Oct 28, 2011 7:07 pm

My top two:

The Rainmaker: Rudy Baylor (Matt Damon) is a young lawyer fresh out of law school who has been given a chance to take on a major insurance company over a denied claim by a dying boy. Working first for a criminal law firm, Rudy must take what allies he can including a bar exam failied lawyer (danny Devito) and the support of a abused gf and convince the world that his client is right.

A Time To Kill: Carl Lee Haley (Samuel L Jackson) takes revenge against two white men who rape and attempt to murder his 10 year old daughter, slaughtering both with a gun in front of the entire town. With no chance of aquital, he calls upon a lawyer (Mathew Macohaney) who has never been racist against blacks, and might be his only hope. With the KKK threatening not only Jake's (Mathew) family and friends, he must stay alive long enough to try to prove his client innocent.
