I currently live in Florida and I have a product (not FDA related) that I would like to begin selling to local businesses. My question is, do I need a business license to do this? Also, would I have to get the product's name trademarked? or if there is nothing else named the same thing will I be fine?

Contact your Chamber of Commerce and they will tell you what paperwork and fees are needed to get your business license. As for getting a trademark, I recommend you use as a resource the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. I'm certain you can do this for yourself at a much lower cost than what an attorney would charge.
