i dont know the first thing to do as far as all the legal things go. what should i do to establish the actually name and logo of my business and protect it?

First make sure you have a name, logo, etc. Next Do searches for these things to make sure the name of the company etc does not already exist.

When creating content like art or a logo once it is created it is actually copy written to the creator. The thing is you will need proof that you are the first and actual owner.

Somethings have copyright others have trademark you'll have to look these things up
