What does it take to get a Scholarship for Harvard Law School?

Postby gwen » Thu Aug 02, 2012 7:49 am

I'm 13 about to go to 8th Grade and my Goal is to become a successful lawyer. I want to do that to prove my family wrong.I had bad grades in 7th Grade. Will that affect me? What do I have to do to get a Scholarship? And, if I do go to Harvard, how long would I have to go? Please answer. Thanks:)

If you want authoritative, up to date information about Harvard, why don't you write to Harvard?
They're used to getting letters from all sorts of people; and they are the ONLY people who can give you an answer that you can rely on.

PS: don't use capital letters randomly like in 'goal' and 'scholarship'. Use them ONLY at the beginning of sentences, and for proper nouns, like Harvard, obviously, or a particular scholarship that has a name.

Colleges only look at your high school records. They won't see or care about what you did in 7th grade. However, how you did in 7th grade can effect you, because if you did badly, you may not be ready to do well in 8th grade and beyond, and it may mean you're behind in terms of what classes you'll be able to sign up for. So the important thing now is to buckle down and do well in 8th grade, so you can take the right level of classes once you get into high school, and do well in them.

You can't get into Harvard Law until after you get a bachelors degree. Most law schools do not give out scholarships - you pay for it in loans.
