Because most courts understand today's difficult economic times, consideration is often taken to make payments when fined for speeding.
A failure to pay the entire fine will eventually result in your drivers license being suspended.
In my years of law enforcement, one thing is for sure...you will eventually get caught doing something wrong a second time when it's learned that your license is suspended.
Your state law, like the rest, have legally added other costs to tickets which become a part of the fine. The state doesn't look at the problem like..."OK, they paid the fine part we'll let them off the hook for the rest."
I strongly recommend you contact the Clerk of the Court in the jurisdiction where you received your speeding ticket and ask about payments.
