What happens if you are in possession of Drano without an id?

I bet the store would contact local law enforcement as they have to be in compliance to sell the item to you, just like if a 16 year old kid did the same thing for a 6 pack of beer

I just read about this stupid law in our Central IL paper. A store would probably try to chase you down since their first offense of NOT getting ID is $150 and up to $1500 fine to a seller for a third violation. Just have the picture ready. I'm going to use my FOID card, it has the least bit of personal info on it compared to my drivers license.

It appears that there is no age limit on the purchase, it's just the state of IL wanting to know more about you...


Bad law.

I suspect many stores will just take the money.
