They are trying to tell me to turn it over because im infriging on there trademark , can i hold the domain and not use it ?

If that new company files a case against you you may or may not lose your domain, but most of such cases where the domain was registered prior to the existence of the company turns out in favor of the domain owner (you). I suggest setting a reasonable price for the domain so that buying the domain from you will be cheaper than filing a case fees.
