I was wanting to put some song lyrics (of a popular song) onto a t-shirt, in the hopes of possibly selling them. I am unsure of the legal standpoints of actually doing this and was hoping for some help. I was thinking of a phrase or 2 that would be on separate shirts (so not just on one shirt) and these phrases are often used so I don't THINK they are trademarked. But as a separate question: If they are, who do I contact for permission?
