What kind of documentation do I need to bring to my court hearing on a stalking petition?

I have a stalking petition out on my soon to be ex-son-in-law. The hearing is coming up and I am trying to prepare myself for it. I have his criminal record, my My doctor's report from the stress I am being caused. The point being that he is a dangerous person. Any suggestions? I don't want to look unprepared or foolish in court. I've dealt with a lot of stress from this guy for 13 years now.

You have a good start. Include any police reports connected with this person. The more documentation you have, the harder for him to explain it away.. Best of luck.

Phone records (red line his incoming calls), notorized affidavits by you relating individual incidents and conversations with him (they are considered evidence unless proven false). Any paperwork that may support your claim, also subpoena witnesses to incidents. Take no prisoners.

Not sure what you mean by "petition". Is this a civil hearing or a criminal hearing? If a criminal case then the DA or State Attorneys office is the prosecutor and they will need as much evidence as you can supply for their case. Phone records, social site postings, doctors reports, eye witnesses to his stalking and complaints you may have filed prior to this. Any evidence you can supply to the prosecutor the easier you will make it for them to get a conviction which will likely carry a no contact order with it.
