In the 1850's people of conscience opposed to slavery formed the Republican party. After the North won the Civil War and slavery was banned, the KKK was founded with the intention of putting black people down. The KKK was solely Democrat. While Republicans worked to free black people and give them more rights through Reconstruction, Democrats fought tooth-and-nail, and eventually succeeded, and blacks couldn't get more rights after 1876 when Dems stopped Reconstruction for nearly 90 years. The Democrats were ardent segregationists for decades, and fought tooth and nail against civil rights. LBJ called civil rights laws in the 1950's "another godd*mned n****a bill". In 1964, the vast majority of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act, the majority of Democrats voted against it. LBJ reluctantly passed it given public support. He said after passing it that "these black people are getting too high up and prissy. We need to find a way to put them down". And the Great Society program was formed, which caused wedlock rates and poverty to skyrocket in the black community, promoting immoral values and destruction of the family unit. Now, 90% of blacks are dependent on food stamps. It's slavery, but with big government as the master. Now, Dems court votes from black people because they've tricked them into LIKING this slavery. In the 1990's, Bill Clinton teamed up with Republicans and against most Dems to reform welfare and free these blacks from generations of slavery and dependence on government. Obama is now actively seeking to roll these reforms back, so "bed rest" and "motivational reading" counts as work.

It was the Republican north led by the first Republican president (Lincoln) to fight a civil war so that all men could be free. It was Democrats in the south who formed the Ku Klux Klan. It was the House Republicans who voted to pass the Civil Rights Amendment, without which it would not have passed and sent to President Johnson's desk for signature.

Governor George Wallace, a Democrat, used the national guard to prevent young black students from attending college. Robert Byrd, a long time leader in the Democratic Party, was a grand wizard in the KKK. Strom Thurmond began his career as a Democrat and KKK member. It wasn't until he switched to the Republican Party that he revoked his membership.

The biggest crime committed against blacks is welfare. Democrats have convinced blacks that they are incapable of doing for themselves, so they piece meal to them food stamps, section 8 housing and medicaid. These entitlements have created a culture of dependency.

Blah blah blah...how about we forget about democrat or republican PARTY and instead talk only about IDEOLOGY?

Why? Because you are intentionally distorting the truth and omitting important facts...like the fact that in the 1800's the Democrats were the CONSERVATIVES and Republicans were the PROGRESSIVE LIBERALS.

PARTY AFFILIATION CAN CHANGE...IDEOLOGY DOES NOT.

If Bill Clinton lived in the 1800's he would have been a Republican...

And if Rush Limbaugh had lived in the 1800's he would have been a slave owning Democrat calling for war so his fat a-s-s would not have to pick any cotton.
