I'm trying to find the original law that made fireworks illegal in Georgia and what year that was.

That would be at the Georgia State Attorney's website http://law.ga.gov/00/channel_title/0,2094,87670814_166624408,00.html.

the year a statute was passed, or its original form, is not important. what IS important is the current statute.

That said, Georgia Statutes Annotated, Title 25, Chapter 10 regulates fireworks in Georgia.

A simple Google search of "georgia statutes annotated" provided the initial link.

Be aware, these statutes may or may not be the most updated versions. However, it's likely that this section is properly updated. You could also try the Georgia legislature's website for another free resource.
