All transactions must be filed within a week.
All missing/stolen guns must be reported immediately.

Why? Not to punish law abiding gun owners, but to weed out those who make straw purchases for other criminals.
We all hear the stories of how easy it is for criminals to obtain firearms. This is unacceptable in my opinion.
If your gun is used in a crime and you didn't report it missing or stolen, you should be prosecuted.

That's the first step to confiscation.

No thanks, we'll pass.

Most people don't sleep with their weapon on check on it every hour on the hour so if you leave and go on vacation for a week and your house in broking into and your weapon is stolen and used in a crime your saying the gun owner should also be charged with a crime? That's stupid.

No one with any understanding of History would support it.

It would be expensive, would not reduce crime, would serve no legitimate purpose, and in addition a national Registry is actually prohibited by Law.

Hell No. One of the main purposes for our 2nd Amendment is to keep government in check. It's odd the lefties can watch the citizens in Iran and Syria being slaughtered like goats by their own govt, yet they learn nothing. Let alone the history of millions world-wide who've been disarmed and exterminated.

Yeah right, ...like criminals are actualy going to register their guns.

So how is a responsible US citzen telling the government what guns they have going to stop criminals from getting or keeping guns?
