The Founding Fathers stood for liberty, freedom and justice for all. Of course they each had there personal scandals. However they founded this nation on good principles. They did not want Christianity to be a state religion, they saw that people had a right to religious freedom. Today however people argue differently, saying that this nation was founded on Christian morality. An agenda that is being used to enslave people of other faiths or lack of to a religion that condemns non-followers, and followers that didn't force others to convert, to go to Hell.
Also our government is preoccupied with irrelevant issues instead of important ones. For example our government continues to fight a never-ending war against drugs, in a society that at the same time is the largest endorser and consumer of drugs. The FCC is obsessed with censoring the media in a country that suppose to guarantee the right to freedom of expression. Instead of wondering how we can improve our economy, educational system, and finding alternative energy; our government instead focuses on making for sure our tv broadcasts are free of penises, that funding from schools are cut back first before there own high salary, and that pot-heads stay in prison while pedophiles run rampant through the streets.
Now this is a Government for the people, by the people. We have the power to end this and send things straight just like the Founding Fathers intended. However since the early 20th century, this country has become a giant corporation. And the big corporations have more of an input than any individual, making voting less of an importance and more of a ritual. These corporations have pinned Americans against each other in order to have full control. Which will end with disastrous results.
My question is why have Americans allowed this to happen? Why are Americans divided between every issue and cannot seem to agree? Why do we not try to exercise our rights but instead follow blindly like sheep? Is it because of what Christianity teaches? Is it because we fear change? I don't know but this has gotten out of hands.
