Federal Income Tax is but one avenue of how our tax dollars turn into government revenue. A slight change one way or the other in percentage points is not the argument we should be having.

When people say we are taxed enough already, they mean the multiple times we are taxed by the government on just about anything we do.

They are as follows in no particular order, thanks to GoodCitizen.org

Aren't long-term capital gains considered income? I believe that the flat 15% tax rate on them is the biggest problem, since the only people that are able to receive long-term capital gains are the wealthiest of Americans

The vast majority are state and local taxes that fund local, not federal government.

On top of all of that I believe the VAT is still on the table which would make the rst of those on your list look like child's play

Taxman Lyrics
Performed by The Beatles

Let me tell you how it will be,
There’s one for you, nineteen for me,
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don’t take it all.
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.

(If you drive a car ), I’ll tax the street,
(If you try to sit ), I’ll tax your seat,
(If you get too cold ), I’ll tax the heat,
(If you take a walk ), I’ll tax your feet.
Taxman.

‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
Don’t ask me what I want it for
(Haha! Mister Wilson!)
If you don’t want to pay some more
(Haha! Mister Heath!),
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (Taxman!)
Declare the pennies on your eyes, (Taxman!)
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
And you’re working for no-one but me,
(Taxman).
