Good point I just wonder is you are really serious about it to the point of making a copy of what you just wrote here and send it to the senator in the area you live in because they are the ones with the authority to commission an investigation an finally create a law about it ... in fact send another to your mayor and even the Governor, even request an audience with the mayor , I believe you have a good argument and who knows this can be a turning point in your life for the better if you seize the opportunity ... Think about it !

Well simply because you are willing to pay for it and because you are ignorant in the field of auto mechanics. I mean why do lawyers get paid so much money? They don't really do much in terms of physical labor. Knowledge is very powerful :)

I have to agree with you most repair facilities do rip people off.I have a friend thats a mechanic and he told me they do it cause people dont know anything about fixing there cars or trucks so they can get away with it.most of the time its 80$ an hour well here it is anyway.I put an alternator on my truck that went bad and I never did it before.I learned how to put it on and it did take me a while about 2 hours cause the bolts were rusted. After i put the alternator in I asked my mechanic how much would he charge me to put in an alternator he told me $800.The alternator was $100 took me 2 hours as a first timer.so yeah they charge more than they should they over charge.start looking thing up online on how to fix things if you can fix things even youtube has alot on how to fix cars.but why is there no law for them ripping us off you got me.There should be!
