Will i get into trouble or is it not too late? please help?

I got 3 speeding tickets through and i already have 9 points, i called the DVLA and they said that my points will stay on for 4 years (they didn't mention that they are not classed after 3 years) so i panicked and this kind of friend of mine grabbed them off me & said leave them with me. Next thing he rang me saying he's getting it 'sorted' so i asked what he meant and what his thoughts were, and he said that he was getting someone else to take my points- and that it was a DEAD women?!! i freaked out and he said it was too late for me to stop it. What can I do? can I call them and ask for new forms and pretend I know nothing about the forms that have been filled in by whover? or will it draw more attention to me and the situation? I'm worried about this whole thing.....

Your 'kind of friend' is no friend at all. Contact the proper authorities and fill them in on the whole thing. You had no idea what he was doing, so you should be in the clear. If you go forward with this, it is conspiracy to commit fraud. It may b e a little unpleasant, but it will beat jail time. depending on your situation, I would recommend a lawyer or the Legal Aid Society. Good luck. Oh, and please learn to obey traffic laws.

Attempting to pervert the course of justice - the offence has already been commited and you had better hope your friends strategy works as if not you are both going to jail - yes jail as this is a very serious crime
