Would i be allowed drive a rv in canada with uk license?

Postby torin7 » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:17 am

ok so im going to canada in august, and my friends and i are gonna rent an rv, theres going to be 4 of us two of them are 30 ish so pretty sure their going to be allowed to drive it, however I am 20 and my other friend is 22, we both have full UK driving licenses and both passed our tests when we were 17, we went last year and were allowed to drive a rental car, (had to pay a little extra) so i was wondering if any of you knew much about the laws regarding this or rental company guidlines ect.

generally only those 25 and over may operate rented vehicles. Your age is the issue, not the country that issued your licence. (Interesting spelling of "license" for a brit)

Uurm I live in the states now but used to live in London last year I'm 18 and was gonna do the same thing so I could use my lisence as a 'Canadian' in America so I wouldn't have to re do my license and I don't think there are any age laws after 18 other then drinking but that only applies in the USA (21) Canada is also 18 like the uk. The only driving one I know of was if you hadn't been over 21 and driving for 3 years u can't teach a provisional driver but this doesn't apply to you.
