Absconding From Probatition

Postby zackary42 » Fri Jun 20, 2014 6:07 pm

I am on probation in kansas for driving while suspended x2, and misdemeanor theft. I have recently been charged with my 3rd driving while suspended and recieved a ticket for disorderly conduct. If I "flee" from kansas to georgia or florida, will either of those states extradite me back to kansas? what states would not extradite?

Beau-

Usually, states will not extradite for misdemeanor offenses. However. most states also have recirprocity on driver's license status, so if you are suspended in Kansas, you will be suspended in any other state you decide to go to.

You might consider "handling" these issues in Kansas before the adjudicate you a "Habitual Offender" and you graduate to a felony charge for which they WILL extradite you.
