must be cuz illrgal immigrants were taking jobs...but now they can apply for benefits and free health and still pay no taxes...

Clearly the law must have caused the unemployment rate to drop.

Or at least that's what I would say if I didn't understand the meaning of the phrase, "post hoc ergo propter hoc," and why it refers to a classic fallacy.

If republicans had not of brought them here in order to skirt around paying fair wages we wouldn't have our immigration problem today.

I believe that they probably also passed laws for things like declaring an official dessert snack-cake, and announcing their support for the legislature's favorite American Idol contestant.

Before we can attribute this to anything, we should wait and see what kinds of jobs showed gains. If it's minimum wage types of jobs, then having less illegal immigration competing for those low-wage jobs could definitely have played a factor.

It's positive if that's the case, but not as positive as if there were gains in jobs that pay a living wage. But, hey, this is Alabama we're talking about here. We can't expect too much from all those "red" moocher states.
