Should the Alabama Supreme Court be congratulated for upholding Alabama's tough immigration law?

The parents who brought the children in this country illegally may have wanted the best for their kids but they have broken the law and are criminals. Therefore it is their own decision and responsibility of facing the consequences of illegally entering the country and building their lives as illegals.

I wouldn't use words like congratulate in this process because this isn't some game or contest, this is a serious national issue that affects millions of law-abiding Americans who will suffer the consequences if policy-makers will be unable to protect them from continued flood of illegal, uneducated, non-English speaking, large-family and needy foreigners from crossing the borders and beginning to consume the resources and infrastructure of this country which has been shrinking as it is.

There is no easy solution to the immigration problem, and it is a long-standing issue, but changes have to take place and I am glad that Alabama is actually taking the courage to follow Arizona and take some action.

Alabama citizens are dedicated people who are very patriotic, hard-working, and love their country, at least majority of them. Alabama is still a place where in many of the small towns, you can safely walk on the street at night alone, and not fear becoming a victim of a crime. I think Alabama citizens deserve to not have their limited resources being depleted by people who don't have the right to be here in the first place.

Why would a federal government refuse to enforce a Law already on the books in the first place ? Way to go Alabama.

I don't know because I haven't read it. Interesting how many cons who come to YA just cheer things they know very little about because they agree with the general idea of something.

I think we should. If states start doing this all over the place, maybe we'll start getting our economy back.

YES! This is just the first step in what I hope will be the norm in the way we deal with these criminals.
