Are conservatives facing some hard realities about their failed ideology?

Postby darik2 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 10:36 am

Romney called Robert's opinion "political," as if that's the ONLY possible reason Roberts voted to uphold the ACA.

It couldn't possible be because the Act is constitutional, right? Or because the Act finally addresses our broken healthcare system? Or because it will shave $190 billion of the federal deficit? Or because insurance companies can no longer exclude people with preexisting conditions?

Same thing happened with the AZ immigration decision - conservatives had to confront the reality that states cannot implement their own patchwork of immigration laws.

Cons also realized that nobody in their right mind would actually try to criminally prosecute Holder because there are no grounds!

This is what happens when conservatism runs into reality.

The democrats are like the Harlem Globe Trotters and the GOP are like the Washington Generals that the Globe Trotters always play against. Both the GOP and the Washington Generals jobs are to look like buffoons. Both do a great job of it too!

American conservatism is child's play. I mean, why else do you think TWO (at least two that I know of) teenage 'conservatives' were 'pundits' (Johnathan Krohn and that idiot who claimed Obama is "making kids gay")? You don't see YOUNG LIBERAL pundits who are 13 or 14.

Actually, he redefined ACA in order to make it constitutional. That's the biggest problem I have with his ruling. He said that, under the commerce clause, it's unconstitutional. So there's strike 1 against you.

Second, in the AZ immigration decision, they upheld the states' right to check immigration status, so yes, they can implement their "own patchwork of immigration laws", and actually, SB1070 was simply a state saying they are going to enforce federal laws, not make their own. So that's strike 2.

Strike 3 is your assumption about Holder. He needs to be locked up, and there are plenty of people who would try to prosecute him. He's withholding evidence that likely implicates him (or else he wouldn't have his boy Obama hiding it under the guise of "executive priviledge"), and possibly implicates Obama. YOU'RE OUT!

Obamacare was presented as a penalty....Roberts ruled it a tax.
A supreme court justice just to it upon himself to rewrite what was argued......do you realize how detrimental this is to our justice system???

When this happens next time, not in your favor, you will be as outraged as we are.
This is not about right vs. left - this is about our constitution.

conservatives are facing the reality that liberals don't want to follow the Constitution; for that matter, Obama doesn't even want to enforce existing immigration laws
