Are employees seriously not allowed to wear any form of EYELINER in Hollister/Abercrombie?

Are you seriously not allowed to wear any FORM of eyeliner whatsoever in all three stores? specifically AberKids and Hollister?
...because I feel like I can't survive without eyeliner..its my trademark. i wear it all the time and wearing the makeup i want makes me feel comfortable..i am not talking about crazy unnatural eye makeup..but i usually am willing to do a fine line of liner on the bottom(perhaps brown..since its natural) and a small winged eye. i always do a winged eye and I feel like I can't live without it. And I already applied for a job today....do you think Hollister is not the right place for me? plus i'm not skinny, i am pretty good looking though..with eyeliner that is. lol :/...i gotta admit, i am a pretty self conscious of my body too. like if they told me to wear a skirt as a uniform , I would dread that because I HATE my legs, they are hideous.
haha now i feel like it was a waste of time to apply..
i was planning on applying to hollister and aber kids..since im 17. i did hollister already, and after comtemplating, idk about aberkids. might as well cancel my interview...what do you think? bottom line: i want to wear eyeliner and I dont want to be forced to wear skirts.

If your legs are hideous, sorry to break it to you, but you might not get the job. From what I've seen, those stores only hire model looking people. So if you are even getting considered for the job, then have no worries about your body.

I'm not sure about the whole eyeliner thing, but if a job restricts you from do what you cannot live without (dramatically), it's not your type of job. Being successful is not about wealth. It's about loving the job you have, so you never have to work in your life.

OK, keep calm, girl! It's ok!

Eyeliner-issue:
No, you cannot wear eyeliner offically. Unofficially, you can wear a little bit. Like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmqcJNMkMRI/TFOCa8xr4-I/AAAAAAAAB00/tV3kBcGAiu4/s400/DSC01553.JPG or something like that (That's not me, just some random girl I found on Google lol!)
You can't wear a lot, and it cannot be a dramatic wing, but yeah you can wear a little bit. Just make sure it's not obvious. They're looks is VERY "natural"! Wear as little as you can be happy with to the interview and if they hire you, then they're ok with it! :) But they will say at the interview that only none is ok. In reality, they're more lenient.

Not skinny/bad legs/skirts-will-kill-me issue:
Not every girl I work with is skinny! I guess I am, and most are, but there are definitely some thicker girls. Definitely. If you're pretty then they don't really care, just as long as you fit in their clothes! And they don't make you wear skirts. A skirt or dress is usually an option, but mostly its short and jeans/jeggings. Last summer's approved outfits (called "triple As" or "AAAs") we HAD to wear shorts. But this summer we can wear shorts, jeans, and some select dresses. Are you ok with shorts? Their shorts are pretty short... But I'm sureeee your legs are not hideous! And there is usually a jean option. There always are jeans on the list, actually, except for that one time last summer.

Aberkids, why not?? That would be fun! I thought about working there :)

Bottom line: you can get away with a little eyeliner (I do and most girls there do) but they will tell you that you can't and you may have to wear shorts, but you won't be forced into a skirt. Usually it's jeans/jeggings.

It does have a high maintenance look policy. They will admit it themselves. They say it's because they don't really do advertisements, so their employees ARE their ads/models.

You're not a drama queen :P

Best Wishes,
Tiffany
