They passed no laws to discourage illegal immigration yet now conservatives are angry about immigration. How can you have it both ways?

The truth is mainline Republicans want to open the borders with Mexico!

If you are wondering why, I’ll tell you, because both mainline Republicans and Democrats want a borderless North America much like the European Union has.

There are two problems they face though, the first is a crime ridden Mexico (I’m guessing their new leader will be the one to spearhead Mexico’s clean up) and the second is there a lot of people in both major parties that are totally against a borderless North America (myself included and I’m a progressive liberal).


Also, both mainline Republicans and Democrats want to do away with the US Constitution, this is coming, so watch out for their tricks

I don't understand Reagan's popularity considering he was the person who demonstrated to voters that if you run a huge deficit, the downside is not immediate. Our huge debt today, although not primarily run up by Reagan, is his legacy for showing Republicans a cheap way to get elected. He also (according to Newsweek) badly bungled the Iran/Contra scandal. Several MORE innocent Americans were kidnapped by freelance thugs promised a $1 million bounty each for any American by the real terrorists because word had arrived to the terrorists that Reagan either had no brain, had no spine, or had neither of these.

A thriving economy is to blame for illegal immigration. America is a nice place to live. As long as you can walk down the street in peace in America, as long as you can get a job and send some money back to your family, people will want to move here.

I'm going with a third world economy, and the incredible level of violence in Mexico due to absurd anti-drug laws in the US as the biggest reasons for illegal immigration. That means everybody who has ever voted for anything funding the DEA is responsible.
