My girlfriend had to drop out of their program due to a cancer diagnosis, and now has ran into problems repaying her loans... which seem overly expensive for the classes she took. She wanted to defer until after her treatment, which went well thankfully, however, they gave her the red tape run-around instead. Their lending, and loan assistance practices appear very shady at the least, and did not even attempt to make an effort to help her. To me, it seems totally fraudulent, and after some research online, many others are having the same problems. I've read about their previous lawsuits, and the insane amount of state aid they obtain, yet don't pass out to students. Not to mention the junk credits, and one of the lowest graduation rates. In hindsight, she says she would have never had gone with them, but being a single mother, working, and making ends meet, she just wanted to better herself, and misplaced her trust in them. So are their any resources for this type of circumstance, and are their any current, legitimate class action lawsuits against them?
