Sounds like a wonderful Peoples Court episode. Sue the landlord in scc; then awaiting a hearing get the ll to agree to go to pc. You'll both do better than whatever would happen in real life. RJMy landlord has provided central air since I moved into my house. This summer, over the last month and a half, the air conditioning has broken 3 times. The air conditioner is from the 1970's. He keeps just doing these quick fixes and it continues to break. We live in Missouri and the heat index has been over 100 degrees lately and have a 19 month old daughter. Not to mention my electric bill doubled because the AC is working twice as hard and delivering half the results. In Missouri, do I have any legal rights? Especially since the central AC was "working" when I moved in?
