Yes but in the usa something seems to be horribly wrong; and the usa seems to be loosing the battle of enforcing those laws. Or there isn't enough control on the purchase of prescription drugs.
Most murders in the usa seem to be by people on drugs and that seems to be a terrible combination when gun ownership is controlled and you can buy 6000 rounds of ammunition over the internet.

America has stupid drug laws, gun laws, immigration laws, and laws regulating personal freedoms.

How do I know this?

Because we have the most guns (over three hundred MILLION), and the WORST gun violence problem in the world.

We have the WORST drug trafficking in the world, AND the worst prescription abuse.

We have the MOST people in prison (25% of ALL the world's prisoners) in American jails.

Meanwhile, our infant mortality rate is below CUBA's, and more than half of American's have no heath care coverage at all.

But hey, let's concentrate on how many Muslims have penetrated the Government, or the morals of Abortion, or building new jails, or having an even MORE powerful, expensive military.

Aren't those more PRESSING problems?

Yes and no. It's a very complicated issue.

"We have virtually stopped criminals from owning drugs"

Your naivety is unbecoming.

The Mexican Mafia and inner city gangs sure are glad we have drug control laws. Without those laws, they would not be in business to the extent they are now..

Yes, if it wasn't for the laws, there would be people still using those drugs.

Of course. We must punish drug offenders who hurt everyone around them. FACT.
