Arizona Labor Law and the space between shifts?

Postby shashank » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:32 am

Is there a law in AZ that states the time needed between shifts? I.E. I leave work on a friday night at 10:30pm and am scheduled the next day to start at 4:30am. I thought it was said somewhere that 8 hours is needed by law. However, I can't seem to find that law anywhere.

i'm afraid there is no law in AZ about times between shifts. only time that you have rest period in AZ between shifts would be if you drove big truck. they are controlled by Federal DOT. can only drive x amount of hours. and must take x amount off till you can drive again.

AZ has no laws to provide breaks either. only thing related to that is if they give you a break over certain amount of time they don't have to pay you for it. ( i think it's anything over 10 minutes if i remember correctly)
AZ work laws are crap. you either work or you don't work.
