While this may not help you this time, I figured I should weigh in here. Many attorneys will be hesitant to take on your case this late in the game. You've already been speaking with the insurance company, you've probably submitted medical bills, you may have given them a figure that you feel they owe, and ALL of these things will only hurt your case. The insurance company ALWAYS has an ulterior motive when speaking with you; there is no question that they are taking every opportunity to attempt to reduce their liability, cast doubt on your story, etc.
An attorney may cost 33%, but I promise, those who have a good case, who hire an attorney from the beginning come home with more money in their pocket 99.9% of the time.
Now, this is not to say that you WONT find an attorney, but the amount they will be able to increase your offer by, is going to be very small. Speak with some personal injury attorneys and find one who will NOT take a fee on what you have already been offered, but only what they are able to increase your offer by.
