Blood After Oral Sex

Postby bernd » Mon Mar 23, 2015 8:31 pm

Dr. Leslie,

I was performing oral sex on my husband and unfortunately squeezed too hard when he ejaculated which put him in extreme pain. He found blood in his underpants and urine a few hours later. Our questions are - Could this be due to something more than a burst blood vessel? Does he need to see a urologist or can he let it go for a day? At what point can we resume sexual activity?

Thank you.

Without knowing the details of the extent of his injury, it's impossible to answer your question.  Since there was bleeding, some degree of injury is likely.  As such, it would be prudent to consult a urologist for an examination of any injury.  A burst blood vessel is what happens when you get a standared nosebleed not after getting hit hard in the face!  Here we have a direct trauma to the penis that resulted in bleeding. Something was damaged.  The question is exactly what and how bad.  Until this is known, you should avoid sexual activity.
