Cops are not immune to the law. Whether your rape and murder would constitute the "special circumstances" that would automatically get your killer, be he cop or otherwise, the death penalty depends entirely on what the laws say in your state. But many states consider killing a police officer to be worthy of a harsher penalty, such as the death penalty, and call that "special circumstances." Each state has different laws about what constitutes special circumstances, but those laws were not set by the police department, but by the state government.I still don't understand why you seem to obsess so much about the actions and supposed thoughts of police officers, but since you have posted at least a dozen or more questions about them here in the past year or so, it is clear you do obsess about them.
