Can an attorney lie about how many cases that they've won?

Postby ludano17 » Mon Mar 12, 2012 11:18 am

My family and I are looking for a good appellate attorney to represent a relative of ours in a criminal case. While I was online trying to find a good experienced attorney to represent him, I came across an appellate attorney's website where he gives a list of criminal cases that he's won. Is there a possibility that he could be lying about having won all of these criminal cases, just to get people to hire him so he can get their money? Also, on his website, he claims as well that he has earned a reputation for winning acquittals in difficult cases. Do you think there is a possibility that he could be lying?

I see online that his has been disciplined twice by the attorney's board and has has also had his law licensed suspended twice as well. But the website does not state why his license was suspended. Do you think that he would be a good attorney to use?
