Can an online site charge my credit card without informing ahead?

Postby dalon » Sat Nov 19, 2011 5:22 am

I am using hosting from Web Hosting Pad. It was okay. However, 107 US dollar was charged for additional service from Web Hosting Pad without informing ahead. I talked to the service operation of Web Hosting Pad. They said that it was charged since free trial service is expired and there is no refund. Under the US law, can website service provider get money from one's credit card without informing anything?

Read the fine print from when you signed up. If there is no clause stating as such, dispute the charge with your credit card company and see if the Web Hosting company can validate it's charges.
