Can family keep mail from you?

Postby ezri » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:46 pm

So here's the story, I ordered something off amazon, and had it sent to my work. Apparently my package was given to my brother who also works there to take home to me. He was suspicious of my package so he looked up the company on the address label and determined it to be an illegitimate source.

He thought the package was something illegal and debated turning it in to law enforcement. Bear in mind this was an herb and spice grinder off of amazon.

Long story short he locked it away from me and ordered me to leave his house unless I tell and show him the contents of the package. This really pissed me off.

Anyway, in the future for any reason if this happens again what are my options? I do have dirt on him as well, he legally owns a semi auto hand gun but the owners of the house have not been informed of his possession of it within their property

Thank you all very much

Take him to court, he knew it was yours.

You don't need to have "dirt" on him to get him in trouble. If there was a package in addressed specifically to you and he withholds it from you and/or opens it or damages it he is breaking national law. You could very easily get the police involved for theft of property.
