Can I fight this parking ticket?

I received a ticket for parking on my front yard. I was about a foot off of my driveway. I went around today and took pictures of all the cars and junk in front yards. I live in a low class community and I am not condoning my actions but my car rarely is parked like that. If I have a friend or family member coming over. I don't trust my car in the street. Can I take these pictures and at least try or are my attempts going to be futile? This is primarily a African American Community and I am not of that heritage. I even had problems with the building inspector after I bought the house. I get letters to mow my grass when it is barely grown and my neighbors and most of my community could hide cars on their lawn. The abandoned and run down houses are dilapidated and many are not even boarded up. What are my options?

Does not matter what the others do. You got the ticket. You have to pay the ticket. Bringing race into it will not help you at all.

You could attempt to, but everyone that I have ever known that has tried fighting a ticket always ended up having to pay if for some lame reason. They will probably find some excuse for you to pay.

My mom was pulled over once and the officer kept changing the reason why he pulled her over. The last one he came up with was that she can't have her house key (which is on a lace) hanging from her rear view mirror. He gave her a $70 and she still had to pay it after fighting it.

Good luck though! I do find that a little outrages for them to give you a ticket. I hope you don't have to pay it though! Sometimes our justice system is just a *****.
