Can i still file a malpractice lawsuit...if?

First of all, there are 50 states and each has its own laws. Second, malpractice for what?

In general, unless there are circumstances that tolled the statute of limitations, your time to sue has run.

You can file, but it may not do you any good. The statute of limitation has probably expired.

It depends on what the case is. Some points have a time limit.

it's never too late to file but only a lawyer knows for sure
