Can I sue the rental property management for extending a lease for a tenant that owes about 8k in back rent.?

our property manager made a deal with tenant to pay and additional 200 per month towards the money that is owed on top of rent. We did not want to extend the contract and wanted tenant evicted asap. our manager new that we were trying to short sale home because he was the one that listed it, and if it didn't sell we wanted to hand the key over to bank(Deed in lieu). Now the time has come where we are able to pursue a deed in lieu, but can't because our property manager extended the lease. Now the house will go into foreclosure.

This all depends on the management agreement you had with your property manager. Depending on the way it was worded they may not have broken any laws. Most property management agreements allow the PM to renegotiate leases without consulting the owner. While it was not really in your best interests, they may have been with in their rights.

You really need to take that agreement to a real estate lawyer.

You need legal advice. Contact a real estate attorney.

This depends a lot on where you are located among other things. There isn't enough to really advise you here. I'd check with an attorney on this.
