Postby cuartio52 » Mon Dec 23, 2013 7:21 am

In August 2010, Alexander who was a victim of domestic abuse was wanting to run-away from her man who admitted to being violent towards her. She didn't have her vehicle keys so she returned inside your house in the family members region with a rifle and fired towards his path. There had been two youngsters in the space at the time. No body was injured. Alexander was charged and convicted and sentenced to 20 years because Florida by law demands that certain felonies committed with weapons acquire challenging sentences.

She made a poor choice but i think the sentence is out of line given the facts and the dynamic of the situation.   1TubeGuru 17 months ago

Stand your ground does not include firing in the air and risking the lives of others; it only means firing in self defence in a life threatening situation. Here's the clincher "...she went back in the house in the living room with a gun and fired towards his direction." That's not an adequate use of the stand your ground precept.   Schelli 17 months ago
