Can you ask for Probation in Ohio for receiving a speeding ticket?

So I got a ticket last week and tomorrow is my arraignment. Can you ask for Probation? What does it entail? Thank you!

You just pay a ticket fine if you receive a speeding ticket. There isn't a probation step involved. Nor will they arrest you (well they might if you never pay the fine and they will increase the fine after a certain amount of days)

So, your question makes no sense. You can't ask for a probation.

What do you think would be gained by being on probation (which would not apply in the first place)? Are you trying to avoid paying the ticket and looking for some kind of alternative punishment? See if your court offers community service in lieu of payment. Generally they don't.

Ask for probation? Why not ask for the chair?
