I was at a University whose department offred a Bachlor of Science degree in Advertisng and Public Relations. After taking the introduction to Advertising Course last spring I was informed by my dean that they no longer offered The Advertising program due to the fact that they had a lack of instructors for the remaining courses.
I was in the middle of my senior year of college and they cut my program which blocked me from graduating on time!
and then when I looked on the college website their academic catolog for this year stated that they did offer a Bachlors of science in Advertising and Public Relations. and most of my friends are still registering for those intro courses not knowing that the whole degree program doesn't exist!
from what I read academic dishonesty is the fabrication of documents!
I've written to the president of the school about this matter and he told me he would handle it. but it has been a year since he has corresponded with me on this issue. and now I'm planning to take legal action against the school for reimburstment of fees for the classes I took within the major since It didn't exist.
Can you sue a University for misrpresentation of a degree program?
