Can you sue someone for harassment and or slander on facebook?

I am being harassed on Facebook by several different people. They are posting untrue things about me on my page and they are even going through other peoples pages to get to mine after I block them. I would like to know if I could sue. Thank You.

You can sue anyone for nearly anything. That doesn't mean you will be successful in the matter! First you should have someone of the police type authority check your accusation that you are being harassed and/or slandered. If so, you'll need a police report from the incident(s), as proof. The police may be able to get things stopped at this point, or tell you who to contact for assistance. You could probably involve an attorney after that and go after the people as separate occurrences. An attorney will be expensive, and you may find it difficult to find one willing to take on a small case like this.

Yes, you can sue for anything, problem is proving who it is and finding an Attorney that will take the case. Also, it will cost alot of money to bring a suit like this to court.
Easiest thing to do is delete the account and stay off of facebook.

Have you ever sued anyone? It's expensive and lengthy. Lucky not to have a nervous breakdown. I would pass.
