Cant help it, had to share, I live in AZ

i sure agree mentalward. and people will stupidly say things like "americans will not do certain jobs or will not work for less"!! well, they are very wrong my son here does one of the worst nastiest jobs there is. and doesnt make any more then anyone else doing this work. also,2 of my sons are out of a job right now for months. they would take any lowely job given also,as some pay is better then no pay. and my kids years ago worked out in the feilds and orchards picking and packing produce for very little money as teens. so, i know they will do any job. bigal, i will have to say you are right in what you say also. my second husband was a viet nam vet and had a hard time finding work when he got home. worst of all is we dont treat our vets right. my son here has to wait for everything he needs done. plus, not only does he have to pay a percentage of his medical, he has to go clear across town to the VA for everything if he gets any insured help at all. right now hes waiting for a very important and scarey proceedure to be done and still no word for 2 weeks.

Cant help it, had to share, I live in AZ

I hear ya, bunnybob. I think our government worries way too much about foreign policies and how the world looks at us and doesn't care enough about it's own citizens, those who put them in office in the first place AND pay their salaries with their taxes. My son would make an excellent landscaper. I know because I've been helping him out some by paying him a little to help me around our property (out of my disability money!). But, he's a tall, blonde haired, blue eyed fella... so very NOT Mexican. He doesn't have a chance. HE'S not given welfare, public housing, free training or anything else that the immigrants get because he's a citizen. I guess our government thinks that he should have no problem getting a job but the jobs just aren't there. My son is one of the hardest-working people I know and he'd make an excellent employee if only someone would hire him instead of hiring Mexicans. He's more than willing to accept minimum wage, too, because, as you said, some pay is better than no pay. And now, with so many American companies moving to foreign soil, it makes the situation that much worse. I just heard of a company right here in Virginia that is moving outside the U.S., leaving 150 more people unemployed. It's all about greed. I tell ya, if I ever start my own business (which I am thinking about doing), I'll hire only American citizens. I don't care if I'm called prejudiced or not, American's need jobs! It seems that a lot of these unskilled labor jobs are all taken by Mexicans... I've seen way too many crews outside working with not one single, uhh, non-Mexican that it's obvious that those companies are hiring only Mexicans. If they can do that, I can hire only American citizens. Oh, yeah, I'll also INSIST that they speak ENGLISH!

thats ok. if you look at my profile pics, i have some of my tall dark son there that i live with. hes the only one that has a job right now. but i dont think its because he looks foriegn(hes got a lot of native american in him)I think its because he will do any job and he says even some mexicans will not do his job. he cleans porta potties he'd probably shoot me if he knew i mentioned it. if thats not a nasty job, i dont know what is. he delivers them. picks them up when the event is over and cleans them while things are going on where they are needed. if you see the pic of the one with the kids. you will see hes blondish. lost his job.

I like some of Ray Stevens' music. Right now I can't think of the songs I like but I remember he had some that were pretty good. I think one was about: "he ran through the briars, he ran trough the brambles. He ran through bushes where the bullets couldn't go...etc." Do you remember that one?

bigal, I just wasnted to say thank you for your service in the military and I'm sorry that you were treated poorly when you returned to the US from Viet Nam. I have heard stories on the outrageous things that were done to Viet Nam vets. Again thank you for fighting for your country! Happy Mylotting!!!

Thank you for sharing this hilarious video, I had never heard of Ray Stevens, but you can bet I will be checking out his other stuff. Also was nice to see something funny on a very serious situation, I live in CA and wish that CA would follow right behind AZ. Something needs to be done and I sure hope this new law turns out to be just the thing needed to secure our boarders. As always just my 2 cents worth!!! Happy Mylotting!!!

glad you agree. but then it could be because you also live in an area/state with the same problem. our sheriff here in fact said on tv the other day "California should be thanking us as sometimes thats how they sneak in then head on over to california!" my son keeps saying its like they are slowly invading us, just like war, but its so slow and covered up that no one realise whats happening. I remember, 30 yrs ago when i went to a clinic in california to get my youngests baby shots. he was the only one there not mexican. the nurse who was white commented, "They may have lost the Alamo, but they are gaining it all back this way" i thought it was a bit weird that a nurse would say that. but now i see what she meant.
