Car dealership is threatening my mom .....With car she return HELP?

Postby adalwine » Sat Mar 17, 2012 4:17 pm

So my mom was helping me find a car we went to this dealer ship find a car my mom got approve for an auto loan we sign the paper work they wanted 2gs dwn I wrote a check and told them to hold it and I will come back and pay cash on that friday we bought the car on Tuesday they said they that was fine since my mom had to fax over her paystud any whom when got home my mom felt that the car will be too much on me to afford and having to care for my two little ones she talk me into taking the car back and looking for a car cash so my mom took the car back the nxt day less then 24 hrs.... Ok this is where the problem starts the dealership manager said we couldn't return it because she sign a contract and he was going to run the check ..... I told the manager at the dealership that I was going to put a stop on the check he told me thats against the law ....he claim he got the check from the bank that was financing my mom but the bank told my mom that they did not send out and check because they havent even gotten her paystud plus they also have to do a phone interview with her making sure she is her. But this happen 3 wks ago so yesterday my mom got a letter in the mail from the dealership stating that the check was return and that she have 10 tens to pay in full if not they was going to take it to court.... So my mom called her lawyer... my question is I feel the dealership is hungry for a sell and thats not the way to go about it instead they say well can we find you another car to fit your budget they are threatening my mom ..... how should we go about this is what the dealership doing right???
