CBO: When CBO applied the methods used in the study of Medicare patients hospitalized for two types of heart disease to a broader set of ailments, it found no evidence that restrictions on tort liability reduce medical spending. Moreover, using a different set of data, CBO found no statistically significant difference in per capita health care spending between states with and without limits on malpractice torts

No since the law allows Dr's to be sued for even being a good samaritan on the side of a road , then dr's have to have that malpractice insurance and since it is in high demand , the rates are sky high and so it gets passed on to us . Ultimately Washington has the power to change all that .

Absolutely not. Doctors pay as much as 10,000 dollars a month for medical malpractice insurance, and some pay much much more. The CBO is out of touch with reality. God bless.

LMAO.

My brother's malpractice premiums are over 1 million/year, and he has never had a claim.

What a joke.

Don't believe everything you read. Once again think about it. Why would a physician order an unnecessary test? If he receives no compensation for this test why order it? If Malpractice doesn't add to medical costs why is it so expensive? Lawsuits aren't a problem as you point out, if so malpractice should be cheap.
I don't read fact check it is biased. Obviously you have very little interaction in the health care field.
