Civil Court vs. Criminal Court in cases of.....?

Postby gerard » Wed May 30, 2012 12:31 am

Harassment. I know it's not a very interesting topic, but with facebook and email and text messages, it's becoming more and more common.

Harassment is against the law in most states. It usually constitutes a Misdemeanor, especially Aggravated Harassment (which exists in New York State.)

My question is-- as a complainant, when will I be told to go through civil court first and seek a restraining order.. then if that is violated, the perp may be arrested...and when will the perp actually go straight to being arrested despite the lack of a restraining order or order of protection...?

What did you do?

Send yourself Facebook messages, emails and texts

And then accuse people of harassment ?

Seriously dude?

Didn't you post the same question for the past 10 years on yahoo answers?

During that time you could have been doing things with your life like working at McDonald's or Walmart. Anything other than posting the same question about being harassed and raped.
