Sadly the norwegian citizenship laws are based on heritage and not on birthplace. Completely adversary to the system in the USA where being born on american soil gives you the right to be an american citizen. If both your parents are indian citizens, you have no claim on norwegian citizenship.(Personally I think that is wrong, but the law is the law.)
I do not like this law. It is too restrictive in cases such as your, but it is the law and there is nothing we can do about that. Completing your education in norway is a completely different matter. It should be easy enough to enroll in an exchange program with a calcutta university or simply apply for a college or university in norway. If you do get admitted you will be given a residence permit just like your parents were holding when you were born.
Apart from that, there are two ways to obtain norwegian citizenship for you:
1) Family reunion: Marry a norwegian citizen or be dependent upon a norwegian citizen in other ways. You can then apply for residence permit and apply for citizenship after 4 years.
2) Specialist immigration: Get a job in norway. This will grant you a renewable time limited residence permit. After 7 years you can apply for citizenship which will be granted as long as you renounce your other citizenships. Dual citizenship is not allowed in norway(stupid rule, but it is the law.)
