Class action lawsuit settlement question?

My dad died 6+ years ago and now has been sent a small check from a class action lawsuit-the drug company overcharged for medications he took years ago. Can the check be cashed even though he has since passed away? It is payable to him although I have (had?) financial power of attorney.

Had power of attorney ? Sign the check, cash it and let them figure it out. Chances are a court with any morals or common sense wouldn't pursue some fraud charge under the circumstances. On the other hand I did just say a court with morals or common sense didn't I ?
