The overwhelming majority of gun crimes happen in areas of the greatest gun restrictions. When you tie the hands of the people the bad guys do what they like. If you take peoples guns away it directly affects a dramatic rise in gun crime as no one has the means to defend themselves. "During the years in which the D.C. handgun ban and trigger lock law was in effect, the Washington, D.C. murder rate averaged 73% higher than it was at the outset of the law, while the U.S. murder rate averaged 11% lower."If you get your wish I will fear for my life and move to Canada. There are literally hundreds of sites with the same stats. I honestly don't understand why people are of the impression that restricting guns is a deterrent to crime. That is simply not true. dww25921 14 months ago http://www.justfacts.com/guncontrol.asp
