Could I sue my local law enforcement?

Postby adamka » Sat Jul 28, 2012 2:10 pm

I was in my garage working on changing fluid. My neighbor kept driving around the block, he was spying on me, it was very distracting and made me upset. I don't like the man anyway, he is a real pr*ck and thief, he claims that half of my acre is HIS property, oh boy we have been arguing since the almost 20 years about this. Naturally, I took out my AR 15 rifle and shot at his direction. It spooked him a bit, I was in the Army in the 1980s and I am an avid hunter, I was a bit angry, I was already wearing a camo bug suit, I ran out into my drive way, fired in his direction(I have good aim, I knew I wasn't going to him), while he was phoning 911, they said they could hear me in the background yelling expletives, after I fired I said something like "That's what you get mother f****r). Five cars of State Troopers with high power weapons soon arrived and I was arrested without JUST CAUSE, however I co-operated with the officer, I admitted that I was smoking pot and having a few beers in MY own garage about an hour earlier, and he slammed me down on the car in cuffs(real tough guy), I was angry and spit in his face he and the other officer restrained me on the ground, they then claimed I was resisting. I was locked up for over one year before being released, in addition the responding officers harassed me, one of them telling me I need to "sober up" and once i get in "the big house, the CO's will me straighten out".. I was on MY own property. I am now 45, born in '67.

They had significant just cause. You committed a serious felony and several lesser ones.
